Your Right to Opt Out

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar state privacy laws give you the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information.

We do not sell your name, email address or account details. The Site does show ads through our advertising partner, Mediavine. To serve and measure those ads, Mediavine and its advertising partners may receive information such as your IP address, device and browser details, the pages you view and an advertising identifier. Under these laws that can count as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for interest-based advertising, so you have the right to opt out.

How to Opt Out

• Use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer of any page, and choose to opt out.
• Turn on a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser (see below).
• Use the industry opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.

If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will not be based on your browsing activity. The Cookie Preferences button on the Site controls our own analytics cookies, and in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it reopens the consent banner for both ads and analytics.

Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out request under CCPA and other applicable laws. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, including for interest-based advertising, to the extent our advertising partner supports the signal.

Your Other CCPA Rights

Under the CCPA, California residents also have the right to:

• Know: request disclosure of what personal information we collect, use, and share
• Delete: request deletion of personal information we have collected
• Correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information
• Non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights
